At FirstFleet we are proud of the technology we have to offer our partners. We have made strategic investments in our operational infrastructure from back office systems to the equipment moving freight that allow us to be agile in our offerings.

In the real-time world of today business to busines integration is a must. The trouble with most B2B implementations is they are not very flexible and in many cases do not yield good data.  Our aim with B2B integrations is to provide the most reliable and flexible suite of technolgies on the market today. With regard to file format we support all forms of B2B integration from traditional X12 EDI to custom XML and flat file formats. With regard to transport we support most any transport technology from simple HTTP(s) and FTP(s) to MQ and AS2. Essentially you let us know how you need the data and we will provide the data in that format.

Our preferred format is XML. We have a full suite of avaliable XML schemas for integrations.
 
Due to the flexibility of our systems most any custom format can be accomodated.


We have deployed satellite equipment tracking on power units around the country as well as on many of our reefer trailers. We use the data provided by this investment in two strategic ways:

  • To deliver real-time notices in a variety of formats (B2B, load tracking, etc) for our business partners.
  • To provide operational feedback for performance and safety compliance in real-time.

The end result of this investment is that you can be confident that while your freight is under our care we will take the utmost care to deliver it safely and as scheduled.

Our web presence is designed to allow for custom reports and tools to be deployed for specific target partners. We are not restricted to one set of reports and are able to quickly deploy new reports and tools based upon partner specifications.

In addition to conventional tools such as load tracking and proof of delivery on our web site we have deployed Google gadgets that can quickly be integrated into your Google homepage. A flexible imaging system allows us to deploy our imaging infrastructure in innovative ways. We offer traditional web based proof of delivery here on our site, and unique iGoogle based gadgets and desktop clients for rapid frequent retrieval. A flexible set of reporting and deployment tools allows us to deliver customized reports to business partners which help them better manage their cost structure and in turn their business. We are able to track and deliver various costing models based upon information that is of significance to your organization.  The flexibility in our back office systems allows us to deliver unique custom tailored reporting based on your specifications.
