The FMCSA Unsafe Driving Basic is impacted by moving vehicle violations. Speeding is a common violation that influences this basic ranking. Regarding Fatigued Driving (Hours-of-Service) Basic: A commercial driver log book not being current is a reason for the DOT to look further in their roadside inspection.
