Today is Thanksgiving - a day set aside to pause and reflect on the blessings of life. I am sure each of us has a different set of blessings that come to mind when reflecting on our lives. For some it may be health, maybe it is children or grandchildren, our shared freedom, perhaps for some it is our work - something we can all be proud of. In the diversity of our team there are no doubt a wide range of blessings bestowed upon us.

The latest release of the FirstFleet Mobile App brings a few exciting new features which are geared to keeping our driver community informed and connected. This release provides two new cards on the main screen and some less obvious but likely well received enhancements.

In this release there is a new card for our driver community geared toward connecting them with the closest authorized fuel stops in our network. Using the card is simple, just tap and scroll the list of stops within close proximity to your current position. In the coming weeks a new release will provide additional details about the stop such as the number of lanes, showers, types of food offered and more.

Today is a day to be thankful - a day to remember all of the blessing in our lives. For each of us there are no doubt a different set of things that jump out in our mind for which we are grateful. There are no doubt some common themes among us, but we are a diverse group of people with a diverse set of circumstances as well.

As I think about the things which stand out to me personally I am flooded with an attitude of gratitude. There are the personal things - my spouse, my children, health, caring friends and a collection of items that are convictions of my heart which are hard to articulate - but I am none the less thankful. There are undoubtedly blessings of country, freedom and an appreciation for those who sacrificed to ensure those things remained for future generations. We have much to be thankful for.

FirstFleet drivers enjoy a large and accessible fuel stop network that covers the needs of our drivers while over the road. In some cases you may find your self in unfamiliar territory and in need of fuel. In effort to help connect you with the closest fuel stop we have created a tool specifically designed to point you in the direction of the closest fuel stop from your current location.

Located at www.firstfleetinc.com under the title of Driver Fuel Network (login required) you will find a tool that can search for authorized fuel stops in a given state or located near your current position - using the GPS in your phone. The details of the fuel stop include the address, if the site has DEF, the stop phone number and a link to view the site on a map.

Friday I spoke with a driver our of Wichita Falls, TX. This driver was very helpful in tracking down a slight problem with the way the mobile site was presenting information in some situations, but he was also helpful because he brought to my attention the fact that it would be helpful to be able to view Hours of Service information when you are not in the cab of the truck.

In this conversation it became apparent that the driver wanted a simple interface to quickly view the status of the logs - how many hours remain, how long has a duty status been in progress. These details are known by FirstFleet so it was not a tough task to push this information directly to the website in a user friendly manner.

These numbers are very encouraging because they account for a significant number of our employees and business partners. Today's enhancements are designed to add some user friendliness to the mobile experience.
