posted on November 12, 2012 08:00
Deer strikes are up over 8% in the past twelve months!
November is the peak month for deer strikes
. There is an estimated 20 million animals in deer herds currently. To help avoid a dangerous an costly situation please consider these tips:
Take note of deer crossing areas, and slow down
Expect more than one animal to cross the road
Use your high beam headlights when possible
Understand dawn and dusk are peak times for deer movement
Remember - don't swerve to avoid a deer, slow down as much as possible and drive through the animal, don't chance rolling your truck if you come upon an unavoidable situation.
THE ONLY WAY, IS THE SAFE WAY!
