We are very excited to share the new version of the FirstFleet Mobile app with you today. The new version includes a new simplified user interface and added functionality intended to make the app more user friendly and helpful. The app is available for both Android and iOS platforms either from the appropriate app store or by clicking this link. Please note that at present time the release is only available for Android. The Apple build has been submitted for release but is still pending approval.

Annual Brake inspection blitz set for September 11 – 17

Inspectors will be paying special attention to brake safety during the CVSA Brake Safety Week. Inspectors will be looking for "out of adjustment" brakes, brake system and "anti-lock" braking system violations.

Please make sure you are conducting a thorough Pre-Trip inspection while looking for out of adjustment brakes, loose or missing brake parts, air leaks, worn linings, and defective drums.

We will never forget the horrific events of 9/11/2001. Fifteen years ago today our country was the victim of a brutal attack on our soil that lead to the loss of 3,000 innocent people. The events of this day have impacted the lives of those directly connected to the act of terrorism and countless others around the world. In one way or another this day continues to have impact on us as we grieve losses and work to create a safer tomorrow.

As we approach the end of summer, that means that we are closing in on the July 31st deadline for all participants in the health and wellness program to complete their biometric screening and the Personal Health Assessment. Please do what you can to complete BOTH of these requirements before the end of July, so you can qualify for the premium benefits in 2017! As of the end of June, we have over 400 participants that have completed the biometric screenings, but have yet to complete the Personal Health Assessment.

Across the land today flags are flying, grills are being fired up and people will gather to celebrate 240 years of our great nation. Our founding fathers believed in the hope of a nation where freedom abounds and they would willingly lay their lives down in that declaration.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

We owe a great debt to countless men and women who have worn the flag of our country in effort to preserve and protect the freedoms we enjoy each day. Today we honor the sacrifices and service of each passing generation that we might remain the land of the free and the home of the brave. May we never take the blessings of freedom for granted or forget its cost.

If you have recently seen the news you are well aware of the flooding and devastation in West Virginia. At FirstFleet, Inc. our hearts and prayers are with the families who have lost so much in the last week. It is hard to imagine the circumstances that are facing the residents of the storm battered areas, and we want to help.

FirstFleet, Inc. Delaware, OH has partnered with local organizations to collect and transport much needed cleaning supplies and care items through July 10th. When the goods are collected we will provide the transportation and ensure delivery of the items to a local distribution facility in the battered town of Richwood, WV.

Projections are that over 41 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this holiday weekend. That's a 2% increase from last year. Fuel prices have risen, but are still low compared to previous years. Due to the lower fuel prices the majority of travelers are hitting the road, with more 35 million driving. That is a lot of extra traffic on the roads starting the week of July 4th.
