Last week I shared with you that Android users of FirstFleet Mobile can now upload photos of unsafe load conditions or other important information to dispatch directly from our app. 

Today I am happy to share with you that this update is now live for Apple devices as well. To get the update just launch the FirstFleet Mobile app and follow the on screen prompts.

Today we are excited to announce the release of FirstFleet Mobile 3.0. This version of the app is designed to update the experience and user interface. Starting in July of 2015 we have regularly updated our mobile app based on driver feedback and advances in technology. This build of our app keeps that tradition moving and adds some nice new functionality.

This platform version 3.0 sets us up for additional exciting new enhancements in 2018. We hope that you find the new experience to be improved and welcomed, we continue to look for your feedback on application development.

We are as a nation a blessed group of people. We have freedoms every day that most in the world will only dream of. Today is Thanksgiving - a day of gratitude - a day set aside to give thanks for the blessings that we have in life.

Many in our industry may find themselves on the road servicing customers today. The life of a transportation professional is always on the go, and I thank you for your service and dedication. Wherever you find yourself today it is my hope that you are able to pause and reflect on the blessings in your life. There is much to be thankful for.

Driver appreciation week is here, and from the time I have started with FirstFleet, Inc. I have not only acquired a new outlook, but gained great deal of appreciation towards the tough jobs you as drivers do daily.

I have worked in other career fields where trucks were received, my father and grandfather were truck drivers, with that I had basic knowledge of what a truck driver did day to day. Did I fully understand? No.

I’ve come to value and understand how many days a truck driver is gone, Monday - Friday, Holiday’s, and what is a weekend? How many first days of school, birthdays, super bowls, and special events were missed? Out on the road, driving the economy, putting food on shelves and the clothes that we wear into the stores we enjoy most every day.

By now you have seen the images of the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and the devastation it left in its path. There is untold loss of property and that doesn't even compare to the loss of life that many are grieving today. Our hearts and prayers go out to those impacted by this horrific event.

In spite of the harsh realities we continue to hear stories of hope and unity from the communities impacted. You have seen individuals rescuing people they don't know, stores opening their doors for shelter and even large scale fund raising events like this one by J.J. Watt which is currently at $28 million dollars and counting

As part of our continuing efforts to communicate well with our driver community we are excited to announce the release of a new version of our mobile app. Stats on the FirstFleet Mobile App show us that a great number of our drivers are regularly using the app to help plan and confirm their trips, review their pay, find fuel stops and much more.

The mobile app is designed to allow our driver community to quickly locate information pertaining to their daily tasks and to stay connected through tools like load planning, fuel economy, payroll history, training and more. If you not presently using the mobile app I would encourage you to visit the app market for your phone and give it a test drive today.
